A "Capaciformer" is a Potential Equipment Transformer (PET) with a coupling capacitor across the H1 and X1 terminals.  These are used where a high frequency communication and/or telemetry signal is sent through the medium voltage, 50 or 60 HZ power line.  The transformer provides 120 or 240 volt, 60 HZ station power.  The coupling capacitor allows high frequency communications/telemetry signals to pass through while blocking the 50 or 60 HZ voltage.
